London Design Festival - Exhibition and Workshops

  • The Bakery (Camden Passage) 6 Charlton Place London, England, N1 8AJ United Kingdom (map)

As a partner of the London Design Festival, we are holding a special exhibition that explores the importance of joy and beauty in everyday life and in the home, through art works, hand painted furniture, textiles and philosophical concepts, inspired by William Morris's words: "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful."

This group show by the multi-disciplinary artists in our Islington gallery explores philosophies around the importance of art and design in the home. We look at the value of colour and the use of different qualities of materials in our homes, how this affects our outlook on life, and what it teaches our children about aesthetics.

We will be running workshops by our gallery artists on themes around colour, collage, furniture painting and film screenings during the Festival; please sign up to our mailing list below to get updates when these are available to book.
